seems we’re going to go into Aza and not beforetime

News is reporting that our reservists have been called up and are being called up in prep for a ground ops in Gaza. In the last few days terrorists in Gaza have lobbed hundreds of shells and rockets at us, injured numerous of our civilians and seriously injured four of our soldiers. This comes on the heels of weeks and months and years of attacks. I just hope they do it right this time and freaking neutralize them.

I just hope all my ‘kids’ are okay and all of our kids end up okay. My inbox is stuffed with notifications that this student and that student has been called up and will be missing class, I’ve got a lot of emails from kids who graduated and from spouses of kids who graduated letting me know. We don’t take things like this lightly here, it is very, very personal and close to home. Our citizens in the south are also close to home and they deserve a normal life. Hit hard, hit smart, and for the love of g-d stay safe.

Update: The IAF has hit 20 underground bunkers housing rockets that could hit Tel Aviv.

The problem is that, LONG-TERM, a ground operation where Israel withdraws later on will do nothing long-term. In fact, there have been several ground operations in Gaza these past decades and we are still at square zero today!!

When extreme situations occur, extreme actions are needed!!
Israel should expulse ALL the inhabitants of Gaza FOREVER. Only this action will solve LONG-TERM the Gaza nightmare.
Otherwise, a coming ground operation in Gaza by Israel will not do anything LONG-TERM. In a few months, Israel will again receive rockets on its citizens!! We have seen that before, isn’t it?!!

Despite these points, the Israeli governments still repeat the same actions that have not led to any improvements LONG-TERM.

As you can see, long-term is the most important keyword on this matter.

Wipe — a few years ago I wouldn’t have said this, but long-term you are right. Long term, we’ll need to re-take the Sinai, given the freakazoids controlling Egypt now. At the momen, however, I think stripping Gaza bare of 60% of its weapons collections will do fine. We should really be concentrating on strengthening East Jerusalem and our presence in the Jordan Valley, as well as our presence in the Golan. Build, baby, build and fast.

It is a nightmare that defies a simple solution.

Again, not to worry. As I said before I’m sure flotillas of “peace activists” will arrive at any moment to act as human shields for the innocent civilians of Ashdod and Sderot and all the other cities and villages of the South. And I’m certain that rather than harm these civilians, Hamas will cease fire.

If that doesn’t happen, I read that the U.S. State Department not just “condemned” but “strongly condemned” the rocket fire on Israel. With the use of strong adverbs like “strongly” from the U.S., Hamas will have little choice but to buckle and seek peace. In fact I hear that the Arab League has scheduled an emergency meeting to strongly condemn the strong U.S. support of Israel conveyed by such strong adverbs.

I hope this strong language will bring peace. We will have to watch over the next couple of days. If the parties unpack their strong adjectives, we know the situation is continuing to deteriorate. If strong nouns and verbs are deployed, we can expect a region-wide conflict.

Informed sources, however, have told me that by refraining from comment on earlier Hamas attacks, and by remaining largely silent about Syria, Egypt and other regional hotspots, the U.S. has maintained its large stockpile of strong adverbs, adjectives and nouns. I’m also told that the U.S. supply of strong verbs is robust enough to cope with any escalation. This will greatly aid Israel in the coming weeks.
