Breaking DOJ scandal

Gotta hand it to the Obama administration, it really is just the gift that keeps on giving: unprecedented debt, incompetence galore, tall tales not even a five year old would buy, free guns for murdering drug cartels in Mexico, to name a few things, and now proof positive that the DOJ has been naughtily sleeping with Media Matters.

Oh yeah, this story is gonna have some legs. I’m sure the MSM is going to do all it can to ignore it but is going to have legs nonetheless. I’d bet the Daily Caller has a lot more to release as well.

Don’t count on all people being reasonable and able to evaluate this information, even if the mainstream media does reveal it. Fox News already has, but because Fox News does have a more center/Right view, many people won’t watch it at all or discount any and everything that they read there. Let’s see if MSNBC and others cover this and if they do, watch for the spin.

Yeah, this isn’t going to have a big impact. I mean the involvement with Media Matters bothers me, but really it only confirms what I already thought — the Obama team has a close working relationship with Media Matters. But most people don’t know or care what Media Matters is and care even less that it’s antisemitic. This is all just too insider baseball to become news or have any legs. I wish it wasn’t so, but it is.

As much as I hate to say it, I think we better get used to four more years of Obama. Things could still change, but Romney is running one of the worst presidential campaigns in history. He has been defined by Obama in a negative way and I think it’s too late for Romney to do much now.

  3. Lynne says :

Mike, I fear that you are right. I wonder how on Earth Romney could have allowed himself to be taped having that private conversation? He should not have been saying any of that in a public place. Sigh.
Maybe the Benghazi situation will have an impact if more facts come out. In general though, the mainstream media won’t cover things without putting a spin on them. They continue to relentless promote and protect Obama.

I think we’re going to see some action in Congress on this and some lawsuits. They’ve broken the law — both are tax-funded entities that are supposed to be non-partisan (not to mention truthful) and some of the emails (Daily Caller has a bunch of them up now) clearly show the intent to lie and deceive the public, especially regarding Fast and Furious.

    • Lynne says :

Well, if there is to be an investigation, I hope they will get on with it. I’d like for Obama to get as much negative press as possible.

Face it. If obama was a serial axe murderer with 100 victims, his dna @ each crime scene, polaroid snap shots of him posing with each victim, home videos of him performing each murder,a wire with ears from each victim hanging around his neck, letters admitting to the crimes written in each victims blood and signed by him,the bloody axe in his closet, the media would ignore it. Just as they have ignored the fact that he has a Connecticut SSN from a dead man. I believe he will lose the election based on his jimmy carter type ineptness. The msm predicted carter would win too.the msm is preaching to their own.so few people even watch or read their newspapers. Make sure to go to the polls and vote as so many absentee ballots are “lost” or delivered late. Keep your hopes up and pray, whether to HaShem or Yeshua(if you are Christian). And vote. Its 5773.

Im hoping that his “foot in mouth” blunder would damage his campaign

  7. XSouthAfricanGal says :

From what I’ve read (Haaretz -that *Bleep* leftist paper) Its the opposite – That blunder did do some dammage

  8. Lynne says :

XSouthAfricanGal, why would you want Obama for another four years? Don’t you live in Israel? Do you think that Israel will be better off with another four years of Obama? He has done all that he could so far to undermine Israel’s safety and existence, only restrained by his plans to be re-elected in 2012. The next four years will be worse. They will be worse for America, and America’s security.

Ok he (Silverstien) sometimes is aliitle “out there” but I do find alittle bit of truth in them ( even if its miniscule)
I did hear Gali Tzahal Laugh at his blog once disscredit his source of info
but as i said I do think that occasionaly there is a miniscule ammount of truth in his blog.

BTW I consider my self modirate left (ie dont belong to the Noam Chomsky and the likes of him)

      • XSouthAfricanGal says :

BTW II I personally tend to take what bloggers \polititains \media say with a pinch of salt in general
exept for perhaps 2 blogs M.Totten & +972mag and Haoketz in hebrew seem to be quite credible.

        • Lynne says :

XSouthAfricanGal, there is no such thing as unbiased media, is there? All have their particular perspectives, and their goal is to influence others, not to present anything like the truth.
In Science, there is something called a “White paper” —simply facts and information, ideally with ALL information included and often a proposal. When it is actually done correctly, all information is presented, none omitted, even if some of it contradicts the other. It is not written to appear objective; it is meant to be objective, leaving the reader to draw his or her own conclusions. That is not how the media works.
As to blogs, I like Sandmonkey, too, though he is blogging less these days due to the situation in Egypt. He did given an interview on CNN last week. I think that the blogs are a little more honest in owning up to giving their own perspective ,whereas the media lies, lies by omission and tries to hide in “objective’ language and the appearance of just giving news. I even like many of the blogs with a clear agenda because at least information is exposed which is later acknowledged grudgingly by the media. In short, it’s up to us to go through all the information out there to try to get a true picture.
