Steamroller blues for Obama campaign in Florida

I noted a couple of days ago (I think in a comment) that several polls put Romney at +7 in Florida. A new poll out also finds Romney up 7 in Florida but, drum roll, also finds Romney leading by 2 points among Hispanic voters. I’ll note, right off, that Hispanic voters in Florida differ from Hispanic voters in other States because of the large Cuban-exile community there, which tends to lean conservative. However, in 2008, Obama took the Hispanic vote in Florida by a landslide just as in other States. This is a seismic blow to the Obama campaign because they are banking on an advantage of at least 15 percentage points among Hispanics in order to secure a state victory. With a 17 point deficit 3 weeks out, ain’t gonna happen dude.

The poll also found that the Obama-Romney debate prompted 5 percent of previously undecided voters and 2 percent of Obama backers to move to Romney. Another 2 percent of Obama supporters said they are now undecided because of the debate.\

This calls for some James T because Obama’s got the Romney steamroller blues:
