Americans, Brits taken hostage in Mali by Al Qaeda group

Not seeing this in the U.S. news but it has hit the news here:

In what could be the first spillover from France’s intervention in Mali, Islamist militants attacked and occupied a natural gas complex partly operated by energy company BP in southern Algeria on Wednesday. Two foreigners were killed and possibly dozens of others, including Americans, were taken hostage.

A militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in revenge for Algeria’s support of France’s operation against al-Qaeda-linked Malian rebels groups far to the southeast. It said it was holding 41 foreigners, including seven Americans.

It is in the news, but not prominently. Evidently, the US administration is working with France in some capacity (not specified). Apparently, France’s leaders have taken a strong stand against Islamists in Mali. The entire world needs to pay attention to the threat that Islamic terrorists present.

Now Obama has the perfect excuse to release Ramzi Yousef and the other preparators of the 1993 Twin Towers attack. He would do so by exchanging them for the hostages in Mali.

The msm is merely a propaganda wing of the dhimmicrat party and have been since 1913. So we celebrate 100 yrs of misinformation and lies. I notice none of msm or local affilliates claim to tell the truth.they say all the news you need to know.obama will never be held accountable for anything.we didnt even know about any of this.i found out on facebook.pitiful just pitiful.the muslims arent going to stop untill they have control over the world and exterminated the Jews and reduced the rest of us to dhimmitude.

The question is the following: must the world do nothing for fear of having hostages taken following the liberation by the French forces of a country (Mali) that has been taken over by evil Muslim terrorists?!!!

Another question: As soon as the French operation in Mali started, any foreigner in any Muslim country should have understood that they were in grave danger and potential hostages and they should have taken necessary actions in response to this new threat that is they should have left the Muslim country.
I know it is easier said than done when such an event happens. But I cannot help wondering if these foreigners, who nevertheless decide to stay in Muslim countries despite the current French operation in Mali, are not at fault for taking the risk of staying and of being consequently potential hostages or potential targets for being killed.

It reminds me of a Jew who decided to travel to Iraq to “help” Iraq. He was taken hostage and killed. My question is: was this Jew not completely out of his mind to go to Iraq when various forces were still fighting against American forces? Was he not also responsible of his own predicament?

Therefore, the foreigners who decide to stay in Muslim countries, consciously or unconsciously, they also decide to bear full responsibility for putting at a very high risk their life with the risk of being taken hostage and even be simply killed for being a foreigner.
