Bomber’s wife had to know
It beggars belief that Katie Russell, the wife of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was unaware and uninvolved in the plot to bomb the Boston marathon. Even if information obtained in the criminally truncated interrogation of the surviving bomber did not reveal that it was the wife who tipped off the bombers that police were on their trail, sparking their murderous street rampage, it would be clear she was involved or, at least, in the know. It would be rather hard to miss 6 pressure cookers and other explosive devices sitting about in your small apartment even if you were working 80 hours a week as she claims via her lawyer.
I hope the intelligence agency will keep in mind her British counterpart. Samantha Lewthwaite, the British equivalent of the ‘all American girl’ converted to Islam and married one of the 7/7 bombers. She too had a small child with her radicalized husband. Following the bombings of the tube trains and bus, she issued many ‘heartfelt’ statements expressing her shock, horror and sadness for victims. ‘The day will come when I’ll have to tell our children what he did,’ she said, blaming trips to radical mosques in the UK for “poisoning” her husband’s mind.
She and her child were moved to a safe house and given police protection for a year. Then, in 2007, she took her child and disappeared — disappeared from the U.K., that is. She turned up in Kenya, has taken part in numerous terrorist attacks both in Kenya and in Somalia, and is now one of the most high-ranking in the Al Qaeda network.
She’s been named The White Widow by her growing number of followers and is one of the top recruiters for Al Qaeda in East Africa. She is a commander in Al- Shahab, the Somali wing of Al Qaeda. She trains female suicide bombers. The Daily Mail recently did an update on her: you can read it here
