back from x-rays round 2
I started this post Wed night and will continue tomorrow:
This morning I went and ordered cat food from the store not too far away (the place in Tel Aviv I usually order from and have delivered was out of stock of the food I feed the inside kitties) and went to the grocery store. I needed to get some freezer staples like spinach and a lot of ice cream (I’m needing to do a mostly liquid diet for a bit), dried soup and pepper, hand soap, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies, etc. I don’t usually ‘steal’ the cart to bring things home but was not up to carrying the stuff home. I planned to bring it right back and get my five shek deposit on it back as well. However, I quickly discovered that while walking is not terribly pleasant, walking and pushing something got the nerves screaming and by the time I got home I was in a state. I owe my neighbour heaps of gratitude for carrying most of the groceries up the stairs for me.
I have a huge pile of grading that I need to have done by next Tuesday but try as I might I could not find a painless position to read the papers, much less write comments on them, and they aren’t the only critical work needs to attend. I looked at my apartment with the floors that need to be cleaned, the litterboxes, the basic restoring order things that take up most of my Wednesdays. I was like, I can’t wait until Sunday. All I could think of was, if I can see a doctor I can get this fixed and get my life back. Yeah, well, no.
