War Games: Israeli Urban Warfare

Really cool. Check out how our soldiers train (and train soldiers from armies all over the world) at the fake city of Baladia. This is why the IDF is the best army in the world.

I have to say that I would personally prefer this sort of thing wasn’t made public. the less that the enemy knows about how the IDF prepares for battle, the better.

Dumblesoresarmy, you make a good point. It may be that the Israelis would like for the world, to see that they are ready to fight for their lives now and never to be victims of pogroms that so many of the Europeans were so fond of inflicting and the Holocaust.

Dumbledores Army, I thought about that too when I was first watching it but the military obviously gave approval for the piece or the camera crew would never have been allowed to go in and film. It doesn’t tell the enemy about our tactics that they haven’t already experienced but it does show the rest of the world not only what kinds of challenges our soldiers face but also the challenges that the world is now facing as the landscape of modern warfare has dramatically changed. It also tells our enemies that we Israelis are the innovators in adapting to any crap they might pull and will continue to have the upper hand. As the reporter said, Israelis are redefining the way wars are fought and have done “the surreal and superhuman” with innovative techniques to dealing with terrorists with very little loss of life to our soldiers while taking out the terrorists.

Glenn Greenwald, is a moron, but he is a moron with a vivid imagination. He blames Israel for the rioting and the mess in Ferguson, Missouri. I think that he must be crazy.
