And a sweet Jewish New Year to you, too.

Yael – I have a favour to ask. I know you have read and posted at Jihadwatch long enough ago to have read posts by someone called “Hugh Fitzgerald” who, though a declared atheist, has always been a staunch Friend of Zion and formidable foe of all forms of antisemitism whether Muslim or non-Muslim. He also posted regularly at “New English Review”. Anyway – I am not going to go into details, but I am in a position to know that ‘Hugh’ has suffered a bereavement and is ill. It would be helpful, I think, if you could ask your friends in Israel – people you know back home in Jerusalem – to place a petition at the Kotel and say a prayer for Hugh to be healed and comforted. I do not know his actual name – ‘Hugh Fitzgerald’ is his nom de guerre or nom de plume – but he certainly qualifies as Righteous Among the Nations, and I am sure that if ‘Hugh Fitzgerald’ is mentioned, the Holy One will know exactly who is meant.
